SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Community
Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services on the community.
SASSA might be rendering expert services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency explained it can be alarmed concerning the large variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated sassa status Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office committed to service the area daily. The provider place made for intervention experiences a higher inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more resources to help the servicing of all buyers and increase use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
